Welcome to Mary T. Murphy Elementary School

A diverse group of young children sit on the floor, smiling and looking forward.

Whether you say Welcome in English, Bienvenidos in Spanish, Bem-vindos in Portuguese, or स्वागत (Swāgat) in Nepali, the message is the same: you belong here.

Welcome to another exciting school year at Mary T. Murphy School! Whether you are joining our community for the very first time or returning for another year, we are so happy you are here. We look forward to partnering with you as we begin a year filled with learning, growth, new friendships, and wonderful memories.

At Mary T. Murphy, every child belongs. We are committed to creating a school where every student feels safe, valued, respected, and celebrated for who they are. Our families represent many different cultures, languages, traditions, and life experiences, and we believe these differences make our school stronger. Each child and family contributes something unique to our community, enriching the learning experience for everyone.

We also believe that strong partnerships between home and school are the foundation of student success. When families, teachers, staff, and students work together, children thrive. We encourage open communication throughout the year and welcome your questions, ideas, and involvement. Together, we can create a positive, supportive environment where every child feels confident to learn and grow.

This year, we will continue to nurture the whole child by fostering curiosity, kindness, resilience, and leadership. Through engaging learning experiences and high expectations, we encourage students to ask questions, think critically, persevere through challenges, and discover their unique strengths. Our dedicated teachers continually seek meaningful ways to make learning relevant, engaging, and joyful while ensuring that every child is appropriately challenged and supported.

As we begin our Leader in Me journey, we will help students develop the habits and leadership skills that empower them to become confident learners, thoughtful problem-solvers, and caring members of our school community. We believe every child has unique gifts to share, and we are committed to helping each student discover and develop those strengths.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. It is truly a privilege to partner with your family. We look forward to celebrating successes, overcoming challenges together, and making this a year filled with learning, kindness, and growth.

At Mary T. Murphy, every child matters, every voice is valued, and every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and lead.
